A Proactive Response to Illness Outbreaks

As discussed on our Health and Safety page, we at DeCurtis Corporation have been working tirelessly to assist both the industry we serve and adjacent industries impacted by COVID-19. This virus poses an existential threat to our entire world but the way to a brighter tomorrow is by tackling pieces that we can make better as aggressively as possible.

To that end, I am proud to announce a new suite in the DeCurtis Experience Platform family, DeCurtis Shield. Part of a multi-faceted approach to mitigating the risk made obvious by the COVID-19 pandemic, DeCurtis Shield empowers cruise lines (and others) to rapidly deploy kiosks to capture core data from guests, crew and visitors leveraging a combination of facial recognition and thermal imaging to assess temperature and allow integration with operational procedures. Furthermore, the DeCurtis Shield Kiosks can be deployed throughout the environment to collect data throughout the voyage.

When paired with the DXP, the rich data collected can be aggregated and leveraged to proactively address issues that may be indicated by temperature information. Furthermore, when leveraged in an ecosystem empowered by DeCurtis’s Location Solution, both real-time and retroactive timelines can be evaluated to address potential outbreaks, assess interaction risks as well as strategically plan for cleaning protocols.
